Photo credit Sandy Lukoni Photography Jordie Edmonds is a Canadian blues guitarist known for an “early electric” and “lowdown” vintage style. He is primarily recognized for his long-term collaboration with the late Juno-nominated harmonica player Harpdog Brown. His performance is described as understated and language-like rather than athletic, focusing on “monster tone” and traditional Chicago and West Coast Jump blues sounds. As a core member of Harpdog Brown & The Travelin’ Blues Show, Edmonds toured extensively across Canada. He performed on the 2016 album Travelin’ with the Blues, which featured drummer Jimmy Morello. Jordie has been involved with a number of collaborations including playing guitar alongside John R. Hunter (drums) and George Fenn (bass) for the Harpdog Brown Band’s 2014 album What It Is. He has been a part of the Rhythm Train trio at venues like The Loft Pub in Victoria, BC, alongside Jack Lavin (bass/vocals) and Ross Hall (drums), and touring with Spanish harmonica player Quique Gomez and his band.
