The Lords

The A&W Lords. They got the “A&W” added to their name “The Lords” when they got a sponsorship with the burger joint. It was a legend growing up in Edmonton that “a band performed on the roof of A&W”! I can attest to that because my father, CJCA broadcaster George Payne, occasionally was an MC at these events and he’d take 6 or 7 year old me along with him. Credit Grant Payne
